First up is The Art of Writing Conference – a focused conference for writers, storytellers, and publishing curators. Featuring NYT bestselling author, Founder of COMPEL Training, and President of Proverbs 31 Ministries Lysa TerKeurst and award-winning author James Rubart and author, blogger, and podcaster Anne Bogel, as well as representatives from Bethany House, Revell Books, B&H Publishing Group, Enclave Publishing, and The Steve Laube Agency, it includes seminars on topics such as: Reaching the Heart of Readers, “Next-Level” Writing, Casting Novel Characters Using the Enneagram, and Publishing Pros Share Their Secrets about Marketing.

The Art of Writing Conference is for both published & aspiring authors and anyone involved in the Christian publishing world (agents, editors, promoters, designers, retailers, etc.). It will be held on November 6th from 1-5:30pm at Lipscomb University in Nashville.

Following the conference is The Christy Award® Gala at 7:00pm, also at Lipscomb University. The Dinner Gala will celebrate the art of Christian fiction, announce the 2019 winners of The Christy Award®, and feature bestselling authors Patti Callahan, James Rubart and Becky Wade. In addition, we’ll honor the legacy of bestselling author and pioneer of inspirational fiction, Janette Oke, in the 40th anniversary year of Love Comes Softly.
